FC Barcelona have been playing some good football recently, even prior to the 3-0 win over Mallorca. While the victory in La Liga is the most important one so far, the team has worked hard during preseason as well. Fortunately, their efforts continue to pay off.

One player in particular who seems to have enjoyed having a full preseason for once is Pedri. The Spanish midfielder, who got to rest properly and then train extensively with his teammates, shared his thoughts on the matter recently.

As quoted by Mundo Deportivo, the Spaniard highlighted the benefits of finally getting to train with the full squad during preseason, with almost every player being available under Hansi Flick’s orders:

“We’ve always worked very well. This preseason, we were able to train all together from the very beginning, and I think that gives us a boost. I think we’ve had a good preseason and now we have to continue the season the same way.”

Even on a personal level, he spoke about just how motivated and physically good he felt coming into this season when comparing it to previous preseasons as well:

“I feel very good. Personally, it had been a long time since I managed to do a preseason from the start. There were always national teams, injuries, something that stopped me, but now I feel very good, very motivated, and above all, with the physical condition I need.”

That is great news for both Barcelona and Hansi Flick, considering just how important Pedri is to the team. As long as the 22-year-old Spanish star can be kept fit and healthy, the Catalan giants know that the team can push for great heights this season.
