Brentford striker Igor Thiago has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for November, becoming the first player from the club to win the award.

Thiago scored five goals in four league matches during November. His run began in the 3-1 victory over Newcastle United at the Gtech Community Stadium on 9 November, where he converted a penalty before adding a second goal after collecting a loose ball in the final third and finishing past Aaron Ramsdale.

He scored another penalty in Brentford’s defeat to Brighton and then added two goals in the 3-1 home win against Burnley, taking his Premier League total for the season to 11.

Thiago was selected ahead of fellow nominees Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice, Reece James, Harvey Barnes, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Jérémy Doku and Morgan Gibbs-White.
