The Blues travel to Sunderland on Sunday for their final game of the season, and currently sit eighth in the league after another disappointing season.

Chelsea still have the opportunity to qualify for either the Europa League or Conference League, but defeat would condemn them to no European football.

John Terry believes Chelsea will be in Europe next season

The Blues won their first Premier League game since March on Tuesday night against Tottenham, and will be looking to end the campaign on a high.

Chelsea lost the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge 2-1, and are only a point ahead of the Black Cats who sit tenth.

It’s likely Reece James will feature having been left on the bench on Tuesday night, but Chelsea face a tough task at the Stadium of Light.

Paul Merson believes it’ll be a draw, and now Terry has shared his opinion on whether Chelsea will be in Europe next season.

“Sunderland vs Chelsea, where we have to win, and have to finish the season well,” he said on TikTok.

“I’m going to go 0-2, Chelsea winning this one.”

It’s believed both Real Madrid and Manchester City have shown interest in the midfielder, who’s been unable to agree an improved deal with Chelsea so far despite talks.

A final decision is likely to be taken by Alonso, who reportedly only wants players who are fully committed to be part of the squad.
