‘Not Stand In His Way’ – Club Take Stance As Tottenham Join Everton In Winger Hunt | OneFootball

Galatasaray ‘will not stand in the way of’ winger Baris Alper Yilmaz if he wants to move to the Premier League this summer amid interest from Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.

Yilmaz has been a standout talent at Galatasaray and has now collected four Turkish Super Lig titles with the Istanbul side on the spin.

The winger’s consistent displays at Galatasaray have seen him regularly linked with a move to the Premier League and Everton showed interest in him last summer.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal were on Yilmaz’s trail in 2024, but so far Galatasaray have been able to fend off English clubs and keep hold of him.

The situation may be different now, amid interest from Everton and Tottenham this summer.

According to Galatasaray focused Turkish outlet Web Aslan, the club ‘will not stand in his way’ if he does want to move to the Premier League this summer, as long as an offer of €50m comes in.

It is suggested that Everton have already made an offer, which came in at around €41m, for Yilmaz, while Tottenham have now expressed an interest.

Whether either Premier League side will be willing to put €50m on the table for the Turkey international remains unclear.

Everton are set to add another attacker to the ranks as they are in the process of swapping Dwight McNeil for Crystal Palace’s Brennan Johnson.

It is unclear if that move ends their interest in Yilmaz or not, especially as it does not hand David Moyes an extra attacker.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are looking to add to their attack after having improved their defence and midfield, and Spurs have been ‘in direct talks’ with Liverpool star Cody Gakpo’s entourage.

Gakpo would be an expensive deal to do and Yilmaz could potentially cost less, which may speak in favour of the Galatasaray winger.

Yilmaz was in action for Turkey at the World Cup earlier this summer and scored in his country’s 2-1 win over the United States.
