Real Betis made waves on social media by announcing, in an original and unexpected way, the contract extension of their Spanish star, Isco, until the summer of 2028.

Before kick-off in the match between Real Betis and Girona, played on Sunday as part of the 13th round of the 2025-2026 La Liga season, the club's supporters stunned everyone by unveiling a massive tifo depicting Isco's face alongside the number "2028," in a unique style to celebrate the playmaker's contract renewal.

The stands at the Benito Villamarín Stadium, home of Real Betis, became the scene of a vibrant tribute to the midfield maestro, who has become a key figure for the squad thanks to his consistency on the pitch and his leadership role.

Fans' ovations lasted several minutes, prompting the former Real Madrid man to leave the bench and salute his supporters, visibly moved after a long absence due to injury.

Isco joined the Andalusian club during the summer 2023 transfer window, arriving from Sevilla FC on a free transfer.

Since his arrival, the 33-year-old has played 69 official matches for Real Betis across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and providing 18 assists.
