Just hours after the official announcement of Walid Regragui's departure and the appointment of Mohamed Ouahbi as head coach of the Moroccan national team, a new rumor is already stirring up the corridors of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. According to the Catalan daily Sport, Andrés Iniesta is reportedly being considered to join the Atlas Lions' management as sporting director.

The outlet even claims that the former FC Barcelona playmaker could play an active role in developing Morocco's sporting project.

"Iniesta will help structure and strengthen the performance project around the senior national team, while João Sacramento will bring a working methodology suited to high-pressure environments, contributing to the team’s daily preparation and performance."

However, the deal appears to remain uncertain. According to Marca, no definitive agreement has yet been reached between the two parties, despite advanced talks. The statement announcing the arrival of the former Spanish international had even been prepared before being put on hold, leaving negotiations to continue behind the scenes.
