According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Íñigo Vicente again took centre stage in Racing de Santander’s win over Córdoba, scoring and prompting debate with a headline-grabbing celebration.
With the score at 2-1, the attacking midfielder pounced on a major goalkeeping error, nicking the ball almost on the goal line to make it 3-1.
He climbed into the stand, gripped the rail and stared at the Racing supporters as they celebrated. Reaction was split, some seeing presence and others reading it as cockiness.
As team-mates arrived he touched the badge, then, after climbing down, he completed the scene by kissing it.
The moment followed recent controversy at SkyFi Castalia, where he was filmed provoking CD Castellón fans, in images that also featured his girlfriend in the Tribuna area after Castellón’s defeat to Racing.
