When it comes to putting teams away and blowing opponents off the park, no team in The 92 can compete with League Two play-off chasers Chesterfield.

Currently ninth in the fourth tier, a point shy of the play-offs with only a game still to play, Paul Cook's side have lost just one of their last 12 games and will hope that a win at Accrington Stanley this weekend will be enough to prolong their season and keep their promotion hopes alive.

A 4-1 win over Morecambe last weekend showcased Chesterfield's attacking firepower, veteran goalgetter Will Grigg opening the floodgates at the end of the first-half before the Spireites added further goals from Ash Palmer, Michael Olakigbe and Tom Naylor to render Jordan Slew's 59th minute equaliser nothing more than a footnote.

The game marked the 10TH occasion Chesterfield have won a League Two game by three or more goals during the 2024/25 campaign, Cook's side out on their own in this respect across the top four tiers of English football this season.

In fact, there are only two teams across UEFA's 'Top 5' leagues who have out-gunned the Spireites when it comes to clocking up convincing wins...Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

The Spanish and German giants have both won 12 league games by 3+ goals, but this by no means takes the gloss off Chesterfield's stunning statistic!
