Inter and Lazio’s move for Davide Frattesi is back on after a last-minute bureaucratic scare. The midfielder had been due in Rome on Friday for a medical ahead of a €15m switch with Inter retaining a 50% sell-on clause.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the clubs have restructured the deal to comply with FIGC regulations. The issue related to Lazio’s position with the FIGC liquidity index and this summer’s net-zero requirement.

Frattesi was initially set to join on a season-long loan costing €1m, with a conditional obligation to buy for a further €14m. Inter were to keep a 50% sell-on clause.

Under the revised formula, the loan fee will be higher and the purchase clause will become an option rather than an obligation. Inter are understood to retain the 50% sell-on provision if Lazio make the move permanent.

News of a potential snag emerged on Friday morning as Frattesi prepared to travel, prompting the agreement to be placed on standby. The path now appears clear for the process to resume.
