Inter Miami sign Brazilian centre-back Micael on loan | OneFootball

Inter Miami have signed Brazilian centre-back Micael on a one-year loan with an option to buy, according to interheron.com.

The 25-year-old arrives via Palmeiras after a stint with Houston Dynamo from 2023 to 2024.

He joins at a buoyant moment, with the Herons the reigning MLS Cup champions and their aim of winning the CONCACAF Champions Cup this year widely known.

Micael profiles as a left-sided centre-back and could partner with Maximiliano Falcón, Ian Fray, Gonzalo Lujan or Tomas Avilés.

The six foot three defender excels in tackles, clearances and aerial duels, offering presence in the air. He also posts a high pass completion rate and ranks in the 86th percentile for progressive carries, pointing to comfort in possession.

His arrival adds another option on the left of defence. With academy graduate Noah Allen the only left-footed centre-half, depth in that area was needed.
