Everton rejected a £40 million offer for Iliman Ndiaye, according to The Athletic.

The winger ended last season with 11 goals in 37 games for the Hill Dickinson Stadium club and has continued from where he left off this term.

Ndiaye has bagged two goals in three Premier League appearances for Everton in 2025-26, and manager David Moyes will be glad to have held onto him.

He joined Everton for around £15m from Marseille last year, and selling him for £40m would have helped boost the club’s transfer kitty.

They bolstered their squad with the additions of eight new players after Charly Alcaraz was signed permanently after his impressive loan spell from last term.

Thierno Barry, Mark Travers, Adam Aznou, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tom King and Tyler Dibling were signed on permanent deals, while Merlin Rohl and Jack Grealish joined on loan.

Moyes would have loved to add more players, but he cannot complain as Everton had a decent summer transfer window.

They started the campaign with a narrow 1-0 defeat to Leeds United but have since bounced back with impressive wins over Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Merseyside club have also booked a place in the third round of the League Cup, where they will face Wolves later this month.

They return to Premier League action after the international break on September 13 when they host Aston Villa, followed by a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool a week later.
