West Ham are set to provide support to Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay this summer, ahead of what is expected to be a huge overhaul of the squad.
Macaulay, who has been regarded as Graham Potter’s right-hand-man when it comes to transfer dealings, having worked with him previously at various clubs, is set to see his staff levels grow as the club conduct interviews.
The club appointed Potter back in January, following the dismissal of Julen Lopetegui, however it’s certainly thus far not gone according to plan, with just 3 wins recorded in the 15 matches in charge thus far.
This adds further pressure to the summer, with an emphasis on making sure the recruitment is spot on as Potter looks to shape his squad to one that can compete in the Premier League.
It’s understood that West Ham are now in the process of conducting interviews for scouts and data analysts, which will be in place to support the recruitment process during the upcoming transfer window and beyond.
