Ipswich confident of more signings after Palacios deal | OneFootball

Ipswich Town boss Gary O’Neil says the club are “hopefully not finished” with their transfer business.

O’Neil was asked about the latest situation regarding a potential deal for Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham but claimed there was “nothing to report”.

“No update as far as I’m aware,” O’Neil said.

“Sounds like you’re further along with that than I am. So nothing to report on that.”

The Ipswich boss confirmed the club are still working to strengthen the squad before the transfer window closes, however.

Argentina international Exequiel Palacios became Town’s latest summer signing this week.

“We’re hopefully not finished. We’re still trying to do some business. But as to who that is or what positions that will be in, then no update from me,” he added.

“We’re still working hard to try and improve the group. But my focus now is firmly on the game at the weekend and working with a group that I’ve got.”
