Ipswich confirm arrival of Abdul Fatawu | OneFootball

Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City.

The 22-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Portman Road. According to reports, the deal is worth an initial £20 million, with a further £3 million in performance-related add-ons.

Fatawu joined Leicester from Sporting CP in 2023, initially on loan before the move was made permanent following the Foxes' promotion to the Premier League.

Despite Leicester's relegation from the Championship to League One last season, he was one of their standout performers, contributing nine goals and seven assists. 

The Ghana international now returns to the Premier League as part of Gary O’Neil's squad and links up with his new teammates during their pre-season training camp in La Manga. He becomes Ipswich's fifth signing of the summer as the club continues to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
