Galatasaray have launched a move for Manchester United target Ismaila Sarr, the reliable Fabrizio Romano has revealed.
With less than two weeks left before the close of the summer window, United are racing to wrap up deals for their targets.
Last month, the club announced the signings of Youri Tielemans, Andrey Santos and Karl Darlow. On Wednesday, news broke that United and Brighton & Hove Albion are in advanced talks for Carlos Baleba, who looks set to arrive as the third midfield signing.
After Baleba, United are expected to pursue a left-back and potentially a striker, particularly if Joshua Zirkzee leaves.
It’s also been suggested that a winger is on the agenda for United, but this may not be a big priority due to Marcus Rashford’s return.
Sarr enjoyed a brilliant 2025/26 season, contributing 20 goals across all competitions as Palace won the Europa Conference League.
Things have gone quiet on that front since Fabrizio Romano pointed out that nothing will happen with Sarr until there is clarity on Rashford’s future.
Now, Romano reports that Galatasaray want the Senegal international.
The Italian journalist wrote on X, “EXCLUSIVE: Galatasaray sent official bid to Crystal Palace for Ismaila Sarr as target for winger position.”
“Sarr, open to discussions with Gala but it’s up to Crystal Palace as Ismaila seen as key player.”
United will be wary of this development if they were planning a late blitz for Sarr, who is said to be a fan of the 20-time English champions.
Michael Carrick and his players kickstart their 2026/27 campaign this weekend when they go away to Hull City.
