According to The Standard, Ismaila Sarr is expected to stay at Crystal Palace after missing out on a move to Liverpool.
The Senegal international, 28, has not featured this season, sitting out defeats to Everton and Manchester City with a groin injury. He is set to miss Fulham at the weekend.
Speculation over his future has persisted after he pushed for an exit amid interest from Liverpool and Galatasaray. Any Anfield switch cannot happen until January at the earliest. With the window in Türkiye open until Friday, Galatasaray's prospects appear over following the arrival of Rafael Leao.
Palace head coach Pierre Sage said in his pre-Fulham briefing that time is needed and Sarr must first recover. He noted the winger remains Palace's player and that the club are happy with that. He said Sarr must digest missing out on a club like Liverpool after a good opportunity did not work.
He added that, if Sarr wants to continue, he should produce another good season with Palace as last year. Sage also disputed agent Diomansy Kamara's claim of disrespect toward African players after a failed Deadline Day move for Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, saying the club are respectful and want the best for their players.
