‘Isn’t Fully Convinced’ – Burnley Still Trying For Attacker | OneFootball

Burnley have plans to raise their offer to sign Marcel Regula, but the Zaglebie Lubin attacker is still not fully convinced about a move to Turf Moor.

Regula came through the ranks of Zaglebie Lubin’s youth system and has established himself as a first-team regular in the past few seasons.

Last term, the 19-year-old made 31 Ekstraklasa appearances and contributed to ten goals, winning the Ekstraklasa young player of the season award in the process.

Following his brilliant displays with the first team, the Polish attacker has garnered interest from several clubs in Europe, including Burnley.

In some quarters, it was believed that the Clarets were seeking to put forward a £7m offer to sign Regula this summer transfer window.

Now, Burnley are willing to raise their offer, but Regula ‘still isn’t fully convinced’ about moving to Turf Moor this summer, according to Polish journalist Mateusz Borek.

With the Ekstraklasa league already under way, Zaglebie Lubin president Pawel Jez is determined to close the matter before this week ends, amid interest from Bundesliga duo 1.FC Koln and Borussia Dortmund.

Regula has featured in the starting eleven for Zaglebie Lubin in all three matches in the current Ekstraklasa campaign.

Burnley were relegated from the Premier League last term, and will now once again fight for promotion in the Championship in the upcoming season.

Newly appointed manager Nicky Hayden will want to add more depth to his side, following the departures of several players this summer.

The Clarets could lose another attacker in the shape of Jacob Brunn Larsen, who has attracted interest from FC Copenhagen and have been looking in the transfer market to bolster their front line.

Regula still has two years remaining on his current contract with Zaglebie Lubin, which puts the club in a strong position at the negotiation table.

It remains to be seen whether Regula will be convinced to move to Burnley, or the young attacking talent will stay put at Zaglebie Lubin.
