Ivan Toney scoops September award, Wissing and Bulka honoured | OneFootball

According to spl.com.sa, Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney has been named Roshn Saudi League Player of the Month for September, in awards covering Matchweeks 5-7. Al Ittihad boss Jens Wissing took Manager of the Month, NEOM SC’s Marcin Bulka Goalkeeper, and Al Riyadh’s Essam Bahri Young Player.

Toney scored in all three of Al Ahli’s September matches, against Al Riyadh, Al Qadsiah and Al Hazem. The England forward moved to 10 league goals for 2026-27, five clear of NEOM Sports Club’s Alexandre Lacazette. He was also Man of the Match after a brace against Al Hazem.

Wissing, appointed this summer, oversaw a perfect month as the 2024-25 champions won three from three. The highlight was a 2-1 home victory over Al Nassr, the defending champions’ first defeat of the season. Al Ittihad scored seven and conceded three, remaining the league’s only unbeaten side.

NEOM SC also posted a clean sweep, with Bulka recognised after victories over Al Khaleej, Al Hilal and Al Fateh. He kept clean sheets in the first two and was Man of the Match in the result that ended Al Hilal’s 47-match unbeaten RSL run. The Tabuk club entered the international break fifth.

Completing the list, Bahri, 21, featured in all three of Al Riyadh’s fixtures under Brazilian head coach Mauricio Dulac, against Al Ahli, Al Khaleej and Al Kholood. His contribution in the win over previously unbeaten Al Kholood stood out.
