Ivanovic joins Lens on loan with no option to buy | OneFootball

Benfica have loaned Ivanovic to Lens until the end of 2026/27, with no option to buy.

The fee was not disclosed. According to the Portuguese press, Benfica will receive 2.5 million euros, potentially rising to 3 million if agreed objectives are met.

The move brings immediate income for Benfica and gives the forward the chance to compete in a leading European league and in the Champions League.

Signed on 31 July 2025 from Union Saint-Gilloise, the Croatian scored on his debut against Nice in France. That was the first leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League league phase on 6 August, a 2-0 win.

Across 2025/26 Ivanovic made 42 appearances, 25 in the league, 11 in the Champions League including four in qualifying, four in the Portuguese Cup and two in the League Cup. He scored eight goals and provided two assists.
