Iwata strike earns Birmingham a point at Hull

Hull City 1-1 Birmingham City as Tomoki Iwata cancelled out Joe Gelhardt's opener, lifting Birmingham to 14th while Hull remain in the play-off places.
In the 24th minute Joe Gelhardt drove a left-footed finish into the bottom right from the left side of the box to put the hosts ahead.
James Beadle kept Birmingham in it, saving Oliver McBurnie's effort from close range (32.). Ivor Pandur then pushed away Jhon Solís' low strike from distance (53.).
After a double change just past the hour, Birmingham built pressure down the left and Iwata rifled into the top right from outside the box (77.).
Ten minutes were added. Kyle Joseph glanced a header just over in the 10th minute of second half stoppage time.
Hull registered 14 attempts and 43.9% possession. Birmingham produced 11 attempts and held 56.1% of the ball.
Hull visit Leicester next. Birmingham host Preston next.
