Jack Ross praises impact of Alim Ozturk

Sunderland boss Jack Ross has praised the start made by Alim Ozturk after he took an opportunity to impress on Tuesday night.

The Black Cats beat Accrington Stanley 3-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek with the Turkish defender impressing in the victory.

It’s been a difficult 12 months for the centre-back who struggled for first team minutes last term.

However Ross has insisted that Ozturk will play a part this coming term.
