Adil Aouchiche hailed as game-changer after rapid Schalke start | OneFootball

Former Sunderland midfielder Adil Aouchiche has made a flying start at Schalke since his January switch, supplying three assists in his first three appearances.

WAZ says he is “already a game-changer” for Schalke. His 38 senior outings on Wearside yielded six goal involvements, a spell that could fairly be deemed underwhelming.

“That’s just how I am. Here I can play my game – with this approach and this coach. He gives me the chance to be the best version of myself. If I can help the team with my skills and qualities, that’s great,” he told WAZ, whose report described him as “already a game-changer” for Schalke.

“When the call came, I was really pleased and excited about the chance to join Schalke. We’ve got big plans, and I want to play my part in making sure we have a successful second half of the season. I want to show that in every training session,” he told the club’s official website in his first interview.

The same report also set out how keen Schalke were to land him and the effect he has had since arriving.
