Luton Town boss Jack Wilshere has revealed that the League One club will sign Gideon Kodua from West Ham United permanently.
Luton Town boss Jack Wilshere has revealed where West Ham United starlet Gideon Kodua's permanent future will lie following the winger's loan spell with the Hatters.
Kodua has scored eight goals in 20 League One appearances this season, helping the Kenilworth Road outfit keep pace with the play-off places.
The 21-year-old's most recent strike came as Luton defeated fellow top-six chasers Stevenage 2-1 on Saturday.
Wilshere's men now sit just one point behind sixth-place Bolton Wanderers, while they have a game in hand on top-five side Huddersfield Town.

Luton will have to be at their best in their next League One game, as they take on automatic promotion contenders Lincoln City, who are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the third tier.
Meanwhile, the January transfer window hands Wilshere the opportunity to strengthen his squad and improve his chances of guiding the Hatters to an immediate Championship return.
Speaking to Luton Today about whether his club will sign Kodua permanently, Wilshere revealed: "My message to the fans on that is I’m as desperate as they are.
"That will be done, that will be done, whether it’s now, whether it’s before the end of the season, let’s see, because you never know what opportunities are out there.
"If there’s a case where we’ve only got a certain amount to spend, then we’ve already got Gideon in the bag, so we know that. Let’s be patient with that one, but I also feel the fans, they want to see the announcement that it’s permanent, and it will be."

Luton's primary aspiration is to ensure that they earn promotion from League One back to the Championship, following back-to-back relegations from the Premier League to the third tier.
Kodua's presence has bolstered the Kenilworth Road club's chances of earning a play-off spot, as the winger has notched an impressive return of four goals in his last three games.
At just 21 years old, the former Wycombe Wanderers man still has bags of potential and should continue improving with Luton throughout the rest of the season.
Regardless of whether the Hatters win promotion back to the Championship, the Kenilworth Road faithful will be delighted that Wilshere has revealed Kodua will join their side permanently from West Ham.
Meanwhile, the youngster's increasingly strong form in League One suggests that he will be a real asset for Wilshere's men in the second tier next term, should they win promotion.
Away from the transfer window, January is a vital month for the Hatters, who face fellow promotion hopefuls Lincoln and Huddersfield, ahead of an early February clash with high-flyers Bradford City.
Luton will be determined to establish more consistency, having yielded three wins and two losses from their last five games, and Kodua's exploits in the final third will ensure that they continue to cause problems for their League One opponents.
