Nottingham Forest are hopeful Jair Cunha could be involved against Coventry City, while Nikola Milenkovic will miss out.
Head coach Oliver Glasner said Jair trained with the squad in a light Thursday session and his reaction will be assessed, but Milenkovic will not feature. Both defenders missed the Aston Villa trip with hamstring issues, prompting a late reshuffle.
The Reds host the Sky Blues on Saturday at 5.30pm, seeking back-to-back wins after a 2-1 success at Villa Park.
If Cunha suffers no setback and can train, he could be available, and would then join Brazil during the international break. Aside from Nicolo Savona and Milenkovic, the rest of the squad are fit.
Saturday’s game is the last before a three-week pause. The plan is a week off with individual work, followed by a normal second week that includes a Saturday friendly. In the third week, the club hope internationals return unscathed before preparations for Crystal Palace begin.
