According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds United defender Jaka Bijol has been handed another chance to sustain his fine form on international duty with Slovenia.

Signed from Udinese last summer, the centre-back impressed in the second half of his first campaign, starting the last nine Leeds matches and completing seven.

He was named in head coach Bostjan Cesar’s squad for two June friendlies and played every minute of Thursday’s 1-1 home draw with Cyprus.

Slovenia face Croatia away on Sunday evening, a 7.45pm kick-off at Stadion Anđelko Herjavec in Varazdin.

The fixture offers a final look at England’s first World Cup opponents before the Three Lions meet Croatia in their group opener, and Bijol has again been selected to start.
