Jakub Kaminski has officially joined Benfica on a deal running to 2031. The 24-year-old Poland international winger was presented on Tuesday and links up under Marco Silva for the 2026/27 season.

The club said in a statement to the CMVM that the fee is 17 million euros, paid to Cologne, and that a 60 million euro release clause is included.

One notable detail is a sell-on mechanism. The German club retain 10% of any capital gain on a future sale, rising to 25% if he is transferred during the summer 2026 window.

Despite interest from other European sides, including Brighton and RB Leipzig, Kaminski prioritised the project put forward by Benfica and chose a move to the Estádio da Luz.

He will begin pre-season immediately and could make his debut on Saturday against Flamengo, the first warm-up open to supporters, scheduled for 19:30.
