Jakub Kaminski set to be unveiled by Benfica | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Jakub Kaminski has passed his medical and is close to being confirmed as a Benfica signing.

He will meet his new team-mates and begin absorbing Marco Silva’s ideas, with confirmation potentially arriving on Tuesday alongside his first remarks on the club’s media channels.

On arrival in Portugal, he expressed delight at the move, said he was ready to show his qualities and hoped the day would go smoothly, adding that Benfica are a great club.

Benfica have agreed a €20 million deal with Köln for Kaminski, and the player will sign a five-year contract, regarded as one of the main outlays by the SAD led by Rui Costa this summer.

Despite interest from Brighton and RB Leipzig, he prioritised the project presented by Benfica and chose to continue his career at Estádio da Luz. With medicals concluded, once the contract is formalised he is due to join Marco Silva’s squad immediately.
