Jamaica, Puerto Rico seek to maintain winning streaks | OneFootball

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers continues with action in Groups A, B, and C on Friday.

After round-robin play in the competition, the top team from each group will advance to the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

Group A 

Belize vs. French Guiana

Belize and French Guiana will face each other for the first time in the U-20 Qualifiers at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.

Belize will look to get its second win in Group A, after getting a 3-nil victory against Grenada. Oscar Carranza, Marlon Meza, and Tyrone Linares will seek to add to their tallies for Belize.

Marlon Meza also delivered two assists to reach three total (after recording one vs Suriname on February 23, 2026), becoming Belize’s assist leader and the player with the most direct goal contributions for his national team (4), with 1 goal and 3 assists.

Suriname vs. Saint Martin  

A first ever encounter between Suriname and Saint Martin will take place in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.

Looking for its third straight win, Suriname’s attack has been highlighted by game changer Xavi Dors, who earned consecutive braces to open the campaign. Xavi Dors of Suriname reached six goals in the current edition of the tournament, becoming the top scorer of the 2026 edition.

Saint Martin is yet to secure a win but have found the net in two games. Its latest goal came from Jaheem Joe.

Grenada vs. El Salvador 

Grenada and El Salvador meet in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.

This will be the second time these teams face each other. Their history goes back to 1978, in which El Salvador took a 3-nil win.

El Salvador will look to continue its winning streak. Its latest victory came against Saint Martin, with Christian Coreas and Diego Peña finding the back of the net. Wilber Díaz of El Salvador reached four goals in the history of the preliminary phase of the Qualifiers, scoring his first of the current edition after netting three in 2024 (two vs Turks and Caicos Islands on February 23, 2024, and one vs Guyana on February 25, 2024 

Grenada will look to get back to winning ways after falling to Belize. Ejay George and Narshon Sylvester were the scorers for Grenada.

Group B 

Saint Kitts and Nevis vs. Bonaire 

A first encounter between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Bonaire will take place in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.

Saint Kitts and Nevis will strive for two victories in a row. Savi-K Morton, Shamar Matthew and De'Quan Hamilton scored the goals in the latest victory.

Puerto Rico vs. Turks and Caicos Islands

Puerto Rico meets Turks and Caicos Islands for the first time in the U-20 Qualifiers in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.

After two straight wins, Puerto Rico will look to climb the table, relying on players like Isaiah Vicentti and Joldy Diaz, who scored in the latest match.

Coming from a loss against Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands will play for its second win in the tournament. John Robertson and Idelin Gardiner will seek to continue scoring.

Cayman Islands vs. Jamaica 

The Cayman Islands and Jamaica will meet in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao. 

These teams have history, sharing the pitch five times with Jamaica winning every previous encounter.

Top of the table so far after two wins, Jamaica will play for its third victory. Raequan Campbell Dennis and Giovanni Taylor scored braces in their latest match to highlight a strong Jamaican attack.

Group C  

Saint Lucia vs. Dominica 

Saint Lucia meets Dominica in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The first time they met in the U-20 Qualifiers was in 2003, when Dominica defeated Saint Lucia in a 2-1 result. 

Dominica looks to get its first win. Jaadon Quashie and Rush Broderick are the nation’s two scorers in the competition. 

Dominican Republic vs. British Virgin Islands 

The Dominican Republic and the British Virgin Islands meet in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

They met previously in the 2017 Qualifiers, with the Dominican Republic taking the win. 

Starting off the U-20 Qualifiers with a win, the Dominican Republic will look to get a second victory in a row. Players like Cristian Ortiz, who scored a brace lead a strong Dominican lineup.

The British Virgin Islands saw its first defeat in the tournament against Antigua and Barbuda. Having one point to its name after a draw against Dominica, the BVI will seek to climb the standings with a positive result.
