James Tavernier is being linked with Wolves as the club plot a summer rebuild aimed at a Championship promotion push. The 34-year-old Rangers full-back has confirmed he will end his 11-year spell at Ibrox.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolves view Tavernier as a possible option this summer, although a move is not guaranteed. Tottenham have also been credited with interest.

Tavernier has scored 144 goals in 563 appearances for Rangers and collected multiple domestic trophies. In most Scottish campaigns he has reached double figures for goals and assists, driven by penalties, free kicks and corners.

Wolves expect to dominate games in the Championship, with Adam Armstrong already a leading scorer in their ranks. An attacking full-back with Tavernier’s productivity could provide a timely boost and would suit a possession-heavy approach.

Leadership has been a persistent concern at Wolves, and Tavernier has long been regarded as a strong dressing-room presence. Steven Gerrard, who handed him the Rangers armband, argued the club will struggle to replace his unique output and loyalty over 11 years.

Former manager Mark Warburton also praised his delivery and resilience, calling him a top-class character who has been outstanding for Rangers.
