Jamie Vardy has ruled out a summer return to Leicester City and says he intends to keep playing in 2026/27.
Speaking on the first episode of his new podcast, Jamie Vardy's Having A Party, he said: "Nah that's gone. I'll always support them and follow them, that's the best thing I can do now." Asked if the podcast meant he was giving up playing, he added: "No, I'm not going to give up playing just yet but it's something more for later down the line."
The 39-year-old left City 12 months ago after 13 years and joined Cremonese. He scored seven Serie A goals and made three assists last season, but they were relegated, and his contract is not expected to be extended.
He is set to become a free agent this summer. A move back to England has been discussed, with Sheffield Wednesday said to be keen. Vardy supports Wednesday and was released from their academy early in his career.
The launch of his new podcast had raised questions over his short-term future.
