Jed Wallace has left West Brom after the club opted not to offer him a new deal, and he has sent messages to fans and head coach James Morrison as he departs. He was among several players released this week.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, he was signed by Steve Bruce in 2022 as a marquee free agent. He quickly won over supporters during a difficult start to 2022/23 and played a key role across the next two seasons.
Injuries and squad changes left him out of the side across his final two campaigns, yet he contributed to the recent revival under Morrison before suffering another setback.
Across four years he made 150 appearances, scoring 16 and assisting 16. He said captaining the club was an honour after receiving the armband from former boss Carlos Corberan.
In his farewell message he thanked staff and team-mates, and congratulated club legend Mozza, James Morrison, on becoming head coach, wishing him well at The Hawthorns.
Wallace also thanked supporters for their constant backing, said his family would not forget it, and added that he will pursue the next step of his career while keeping a close eye on Albion.
