Andrée Jeglertz is once again in contention for the Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month award.
And City’s head coach has been shortlisted for December’s prize alongside Arsenal boss Renee Slegers.
After winning October’s and November’s WSL award, Jeglertz presided over another strong month of top-flight results as the Blues won each of our two league assignments.
Those victories extended our winning WSL streak to 10 straight matches and preserved our six-point lead at the division’s summit with City sitting on 30 – our highest-ever WSL tally after 11 matches in the competition.
The first of these triumphs was a dramatic 3-0 win over Leicester where City left it late at the King Power Stadium to secure three points.
Goalless with little over 15 minutes remaining, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw broke the deadlock with a fizzed effort from inside the box before she doubled our advantage soon after.
Kerolin then marked her return from injury with a goal as she added the gloss to the result against the Foxes.
City then signed off from 2025 in the WSL with an emphatic 6-1 win over Aston Villa at the Joie Stadium on what proved to be a historic afternoon in Manchester.
Bunny scored four in the superb success and became the first women’s player in the club’s history to reach 100 goals with her total now standing at 103 for City as our top goalscorer.
Vivianne Miedema and Aoba Fujino were also on the scoresheet during the success.
Voting for December’s WSL Manager of the Month is now open, cast yours for Andrée here!
