Corinthians are close to announcing Jesse Lingard as a new signing. If completed, the move would make the attacking midfielder only the second Englishman in the club’s history.

According to Meu Timao, the other English-born player to feature for Corinthians was Colin Kazim-Richards, who was naturalised Turkish and played for Türkiye. Lingard, 33, has represented his country of birth, England.
