Jhon Arias has yet to make an impact for Wolves since arriving in the summer. It has been suggested he is now open to a January exit amid a difficult spell at Molineux.
Esportes reports the Colombian is “absolutely unhappy” in England, has struggled as winter sets in and has lost confidence. The report adds he is open to leaving in January after a U-turn on his future.
Arias created the most chances at the Club World Cup with 18, more than Ruben Neves on 12 and Pedro Neto on 11. For Wolves he has zero goals and zero assists in 16 appearances, though Rob Edwards still believes he is a great player.
Talk has turned to a return to Brazil, with Fluminense and Palmeiras interested. Arias has spoken positively about his time at Wolves and acknowledged the need to adjust to the Premier League.
Options up front are limited, with Tolu Arokodare and Jorgen Strand Larsen struggling. Fer Lopez is likely to depart on loan in January and Jean Ricner-Bellegarde has not offered enough in the final third. Wolves lack creativity and threat, with only Lopez and Mateus Mane regularly carrying the ball, and they need to turn to Premier League experience and proven quality in January.
