Joao Felix targets assisting Cristiano Ronaldo's 1,000th career goal | OneFootball

Joao Felix has set a personal target, to supply the assist for Cristiano Ronaldo's 1,000th career goal, as he thrives at Al-Nassr while Portugal's captain closes on a historic landmark.

"I want to offer an assist to Cristiano for his 1,000th goal," Felix said, speaking to AS.

Ronaldo, 41, has already passed 900 career goals and is on 979, leaving him 21 short of the mark. He has made seven Al-Nassr appearances across all competitions this season, scoring three.

He will be keen to add to his tally when he features for Portugal against Norway in the Nations League today.

Felix was named best player in Al-Nassr's recent league title triumph and says his 2025 move to Saudi Arabia has advanced his game. He has 30 goals and 22 assists in 55 outings for the club.

"As a player, I feel better. I understand the game better, the different phases of a match. It's not the same to be 26 as it is to be 20 or 21." His current run has included a goal against Wales.
