Joe Rodon has committed his long-term future to Leeds United by signing a new four-year contract. He had been tied to the club until summer 2028, so the improved deal runs to the end of the 2029/30 season.

The club said in a statement that Rodon has signed through to summer 2030 and praised his professionalism and community work with the Leeds United Foundation, adding they are delighted and excited to see him continue to excel.

The Wales defender has impressed in pre-season and become a reliable figure under Daniel Farke. He was even dubbed 'Joe Salah' by Farke this summer after a marauding attacking display.

The agreement provides another lift as Leeds look to strengthen further before the transfer window closes in less than two weeks. The Whites have already brought in James Trafford, Harry Wilson, Nico Elvedi and Tarik Muharemovic.

Rodon’s extension reflects his growing importance in Farke’s plans heading into the new campaign.
