Joe Rodon extends his stay with the Whites | OneFootball

Leeds United are delighted to announce Joe Rodon has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract, running until the summer of 2030. 

The defender has been an integral part of Daniel Farke’s side since arriving in 2023, initially on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, before then going on to sign a permanent deal with the club the following summer.  

In his debut season with the Whites, the centre-half featured 50 times in all competitions, helping the team to a third-place finish. 

After returning as a permanent player, Rodon shone once more in the second tier, starting in all 46 league fixtures and playing almost every single minute, culminating in United lifting the trophy by finishing as champions. 

Having gained valuable experience in the Premier League previously in his career, the 28-year-old took to the top-flight with ease on our return to England’s elite division by making 38 appearances in all competitions. 

Joe was memorably twice on the scoresheet as Farke’s side ended the term in 14th place, heading home powerful headers in Elland Road meetings with AFC Bournemouth and West Ham United. 

On the international front, the proud member of our Welsh contingent has earned 62 caps for his country, scoring two goals in the process. For club and country, Joe is close to 400 senior appearances and he is expected to reach that milestone this coming campaign.  

Away from the pitch, Joe’s professionalism and dedication to engaging with the important community work delivered by the Leeds United Foundation has been terrific, attending a number of events and raising spirits across West Yorkshire.   

We are incredibly pleased Joe has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club and we are now excited to see him continuing to excel as a Leeds United player.
