Jordon Ibe, 30, has been charged with actual bodily harm following an arrest at Luton Airport. The Metropolitan Police said the charge relates to an alleged assault on 14 December.

He was detained at the airport on 30 January and taken into custody. Ibe, of Chislehurst in south-east London, has been released on bail and is due at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Friday, 6 March.

The right winger began his senior career with Wycombe Wanderers in 2011, making seven appearances. He joined Liverpool in 2012 and featured 41 times.

Loan spells at Birmingham City and Derby County preceded a 2016 move to AFC Bournemouth, where he made 78 appearances. He later played for Derby County, Hayes & Yeading United and Hungerford Town. He currently represents Lokomotiv Sofia in Bulgaria.

Ibe has also represented England at youth level up to under-21s, making 15 appearances.
