Ajax defender Jorrel Hato will start the international period with the Dutch national team, but will probably join up with Jong Oranje after the away match against Finland. Coach Michael Reiziger has included the defender in the selection for the European Under-21 Championship.

The Dutch Juniors have already started preparing for the tournament and will play a practice match against their peers from Ivory Coast in Groningen on Friday.

On the other hand, the senior Dutch team must catch up in the World Cup qualification. The other teams in Group G have all played two matches. Poland are leading with six points from two matches, while Finland has collected four points in the first two matches, Lithuania one point and Malta none.
