Josh Sargent is understood to have turned down approaches from Sunderland and Leeds United this month as he seeks a move to MLS side Toronto FC.
TEAMtalk reports that several clubs made tentative enquiries about the Norwich City striker last month, with newly promoted Sunderland and Leeds among them, and West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace also credited with interest.
The 25-year-old USA international has been linked with an exit amid a reported breakdown in relations, and is currently training with the reserves after making himself unavailable for selection in recent weeks.
In mid-January, head coach Philippe Clement said Sargent had texted to say he was not available due to transfer matters, warned there would be consequences, and stressed the club had made it clear he would not leave this window. He later downplayed the saga, preferring to focus on those involved in the matchday effort.
Sargent has eight goals and three assists from 24 appearances this season, and has not featured since the 2-0 defeat to Stoke City on January fourth.
He is not thought to be keen on a Premier League switch, and Toronto are said to be increasingly confident of completing a deal for the centre-forward late in the window.
