Josh Sargent set to join Toronto FC

Josh Sargent may soon get his wish to leave Norwich City with the Canaries having reportedly agreed a fee with Toronto FC.

The American pushed for a move last month and has since not been available for selection as well as reports of a bust-up with coach Ben Knapper and manager Philippe Clement – the player has since been training with the U21s.

Sargent may be set to depart shortly though with Norwich having agreed a deal for an initial £15.5 million according to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail.

The 26-year-old initially joined Norwich from Werder Bremen in August of 2021 and has since played 157 times for the club in all competitions, scoring 56 goals and making 14 assists.
