Jota Silva’s Olympiacos loan understood to be permanent after Forest change | OneFootball

Jota Silva’s loan move from Nottingham Forest to Olympiacos has been converted into a permanent transfer, although neither club has confirmed it. Nottingham Post understands the change has already been made.

The Portuguese joined the fellow Evangelos Marinakis-owned side last month on a season-long loan that included an option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Defender David Carmo and newcomer Gustavo Sa also moved between Forest and Olympiacos this summer.

Forest have been trimming Oliver Glasner’s squad during the window while recruiting. On Wednesday, winger Dilane Bakwa from Lille and wing-back Eric da Silva Moreira from Excelsior left on loan.

Further departures could be finalised before the 11pm deadline on 1 September, with young centre-back Tyler Bindon set to join Charlton Athletic on loan and fellow defender Morato linked with Roma.

On Thursday Forest made their fourth signing of the window, striker Liam Delap, for a club-record £45 million from Chelsea. He follows midfielder Xaver Schlager, defender Ousmane Diomande and back-up goalkeeper Steven Benda in joining Glasner’s squad.

Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Munoz is being targeted, and another midfielder could also arrive before the window closes. Jota joined Forest from Vitoria Guimaraes two years ago and spent last season on loan at Besiktas after a move to Sporting Lisbon fell through.
