Juan Iglesias ‘to join’ Sevilla after Instagram slip, pending confirmation | OneFootball

Getafe wing-back Juan Iglesias is set to join Sevilla next season after an Instagram slip by his personal doctor appeared to confirm the move, pending official confirmation.

The medic, Marcos Mazzuka, briefly posted a photo with Iglesias captioned “Éxito en Sevilla”, then swiftly edited it as the image spread across social platforms. In January, ABC Sevilla reported a full agreement on a four-year move.

In March, Tiempo de Juego on Cadena COPE said the transfer was on track but not yet closed. At that point, Getafe were still pushing a renewal and his form had attracted strong interest.

Radio Marca later reported that Iglesias had passed a medical with Sevilla earlier in the year. The Instagram incident further reinforced that impression among supporters online.

With the league campaign nearing its end, Sevilla are preparing to make the deal official once the season finishes. Iglesias would be among their first summer additions for the new project.
