Germany head coach Jürgen Klopp held lengthy phone calls with Bundesliga head coaches Vincent Kompany, Sebastian Hoeneß and Niko Kovac to notify the clubs how he wants to work closely with them and stay in regular contact, according to Sky Germany.
In addition to this, Klopp has also talked to German youth team coaches and has informed them that they are effectively national team coaches as well, given their contribution to the national team.
Klopp is expected to make further calls as he looks to build his national team. He is also expected to attend the Bundesliga season opener between Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart on Friday, where he will also give an interview to Sky Germany, unless anything changes.
Klopp’s arrival as the German national team head coach role at a very critical time. Following a disappointing exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, many believe the former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund manager is the right person to take the national team forward.
