Julien Domingues attracting Saudi interest after Cannes heroics and Dijon promotion | OneFootball

Julien Domingues could yet miss out on Ligue 2 with Dijon this season, as interest from Saudi Arabia gathers.

According to L'Équipe, a top-flight Saudi club is negotiating with the Burgundy side over the 30-year-old, who has one year left on his contract. Domingues is considering the switch if the clubs can agree terms, but no deal had been reached by Sunday.

He signed his first professional contract at Dijon last summer after arriving from Cannes in National 2. He scored 14 goals in 31 league matches, helping to secure promotion to Ligue 2.

With Cannes, he struck 10 goals in the Coupe de France during the run that carried the club to the semi-finals in 2024-2025.

Partly developed at Arles-Avignon, Domingues had long plied his trade in the lower divisions and had never played above National 2 before joining Dijon.
