Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs have been called to briefings next week on a proposed overhaul of professional governance, with the French federation rescheduling its mid-season assembly to put the final plan to a vote.
According to L'Équipe, the political working group met at the French Football Federation on Thursday morning for around two hours, discussing the main outlines of a new clubs’ company intended to replace the LFP.
To brief all clubs, the Ligue 1 college has been convened for next Wednesday. The Ligue 2 college is due to meet in the same week.
The FFF has moved its federal assembly from 12 December to 9 January. The League is expected to do the same with its own meeting.
These delays are designed to allow the reform to be finalised and put to votes in both assemblies, preparing for implementation at the start of next season.
