The Austrian forward believes success on both fronts would cap a memorable few months in Scotland, though he maintains he is focused on his immediate duties rather than long-term goals.
Adamu – who joined Celtic on loan from Freiburg in the January transfer window with an option to make the move permanent – has described himself as an upbeat presence in the dressing room while remaining fiercely determined to make an impact on the pitch.
The 24-year-old striker has made it clear he wants to help propel Celtic to another league title while also strengthening his case for inclusion in Austria’s squad for the upcoming World Cup.
Speaking via the Celtic FC You Tube channel, Adamu said: “I’m a striker who is always laughing. On the pitch, I’m a guy who will run for the team, give 100 per cent, and work so that we achieve our goals.”
“I am dangerous in the box, where I can score a lot of goals. When I’m outside the pitch, I always laugh, because laughing gives me a good feeling and positive vibes. Positive is my middle name!”
“I knew before that Celtic play in the Champions League, and they’ve won the Champions League. For now, I’m here, and we will see in the summer what happens [with a permanent move]. I want to give my best, and we will see what happens.”

Adamu added: “I wanted to have more minutes to play for the World Cup because that’s my goal to reach that. I decided to go on loan, and I decided on this club, and I’m really happy to be here.”
“I spoke with the manager from the national team [Ralf Rangnick] before joining Celtic. He wanted to see me play. There were other clubs, he said the other clubs were good, but that I should decide and have a good feeling. I had to speak with the Celtic manager, and then I decided to go to Celtic.”
“It feels good to wear the No.9. There are good strikers here. Now it’s my turn to show what I can do and help the team.”
