Lens are set to sign winger Junior Kadile from Servette Geneva on a loan with a mandatory purchase clause, according to L'Équipe.

The deal is a €1m loan with a €6m obligation to buy. The 23-year-old is expected to sign a five-year contract.

Kadile shone during a standout half-season on loan at Servette, returning 6 goals and 10 assists in 13 matches. Servette subsequently triggered a €1m option that had been set by Almere City.

Hull City, newly promoted to the Premier League, had been ahead in the race, but Lens intensified their push in recent hours.

The Franco-Congolese winger has yet to play in Ligue 1 despite being developed at Rennes. A lively dribbler, with a profile likened to former short-term Lens winger Allan Saint-Maximin, he is poised to make his top-flight bow in France.
