Fermin Lopez suffered a groin injury during the final moments of FC Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Getafe on Sunday night at Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The 22-year-old managed to walk off the pitch by himself with some support, but was looking dejected and was in tears.
Following that, the general feeling coming from the club regarding the youngster’s injury was that of pessimism.
However, as per the latest report from Adria Albets on Que t’hi Jugues, things are looking up for Fermin Lopez and Barcelona as far as his injury is concerned.
As per the report, there is greater optimism within the dressing room and the club surrounding the La Masia graduate’s condition than it was on Sunday.

The situation is understood to be better than initially feared, which could come as a big relief for Barça ahead of a crucial run of fixtures.
Fermin went to the club facilities earlier today and was subjected to medical tests, the results of which will determine the exact condition and severity of the problem.
Nonetheless, there is optimism at Barcelona about the condition, with the scenario considered to be better than yesterday.
Fermin had been Barcelona manager Hansi Flick’s preferred in the No. 10 role against Valencia and Newcastle United, although he was benched on Sunday in favour of Dani Olmo.
It remains to be seen for how long Fermin will be sidelined, with the picture expected to become clear once the club announce the nature and extent of his injury.
