Juve may already have replaced €100m Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz with Karim Alajbegovic | OneFootball

Arsenal are reportedly keeping an eye on Juventus attacking midfielder Kenan Yildiz this summer, according to various reports.

With the Gunners recently missing out on the ambitious transfer of Vinicius Junior, who has instead ended up signing a new contract with Real Madrid, we’re now seeing fresh Yildiz links as he could be a good alternative in that area of the pitch.

The Turkey international has shone with Juve, looking like one of the most exciting young talents in Europe with 20 goal contributions last season.

Earlier in the window, we saw Arsenal linked with Yildiz by Sky journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and it seems there’s now growing talk of him being eyed by the north London giants again…

New Kenan Yildiz to Arsenal transfer links

According to La Stampa, Arsenal are again ‘scouting’ for a move for Yildiz, and the report also suggests Juventus may have moved to anticipate this by bringing in talented young winger Karim Alajbegovic as a replacement.

It may be that Juventus are simply planning for the future anyway, with Alajbegovic making sense as another top talent to add to their forward line, but it will be interesting to see if it also perhaps makes it easier for Arsenal to persuade them to sell Yildiz.

The 21-year-old looks an ideal fit for Mikel Arteta’s side right now, with an upgrade surely needed on the inconsistent Gabriel Martinelli.

Leandro Trossard also left to join Besiktas earlier this summer, with Christos Tzolis joining from Club Brugge to replace him.

It remains to be seen, however, if Tzolis is really ready to go from playing in Belgium to becoming first choice for the reigning Premier League champions and a major Champions League contender.

From that point of view, Yildiz might be the safer option, though he most likely won’t come cheap, if Juve are even willing to sell him at all.
